Find & export data

In this guide, we introduce how to find and export data from a site on the Koordinates platform. If you wish to export multiple data layers, visit Find and Export Multiple Data Layers

This guide is intended for first-time users. For a more detailed introduction, read the rest of our Getting Started guides—or dive further into our support documentation.

1

Enter your search term

The first thing you need to do is enter a term in the search bar at the top of the screen and click the magnifying glass.

2

Filter your results

Use the search filters to browse your results. These include Region and Publisher.

3

Select your data

Click the thumbnail image or title for your chosen data layer.

If you wish to export multiple data layers, click 'Add to Collection.'

4

Click 'Crop' to limit the extent of your data

Once you have explored your dataset, you may decide you only want to download a small part of it.

To do so, click on the 'Crop' button. This will enable you to select a smaller section of your chosen dataset.

5

Click 'Export'

6

Choose your format and projection

A pop-up screen will present you with a range of download options, including GIS, CAD, Google Earth KML, PDF and XML data formats. You'll also be able to see the licensing terms for your chosen dataset.

7

Click Export

If you haven't registered for Koordinates, you'll be asked to sign up for a Koordinates ID. Learn more about Koordinates ID here.

Once your export is ready, you'll receive an email with a link to a ZIP file.
