Geopackage / SQLite

Geopackage is a variant of the open source SQLite database format from the Open Geospatial Consortium, and is intended to be a modern alternative to older geospatial formats, such as Shapefile.

Geopackage is platform independent, and is supported in several GIS and mobile applications. It is an especially useful format for development of mobile applications for smartphones and tablets.

Koordinates only supports vector and tabular data for Geopackage / SQLite. Note, in addition, that Koordinates does not support relational databases for Geopackage / SQLite.
