Introductory guide to publishing data

Select 'Manage Data' from the Admin menu

Select a group

This group will 'own' the data, and will be useful for managing access permissions later on. Don't worry if you're not sure which group to publish to—you can always move data to a new group later on.

Select Add and Upload from the side menu

Click Choose file

Note that Koordinates sites require data to be archived in ZIP, ZIP64 and 7z. You can read more about data formats supported for import on the Koordinates platform here

Select your chosen data and click Import

After your upload is complete, your data is now on the Koordinates platform. The next step is to import your data into your site.

Once your data is uploaded, you will be automatically taken to Import & Update Data, where you will see a list of uploaded datasets.

Select which data layers and tables you want to import and click Import.

Enter details

After importing your data, you will have the opportunity to enter descriptive information, licensing terms, permissions, and other optional details.

If you want to skip this step, you can click Import Now — you can always edit these details later on.

Note that if you are updating a dataset that already exists on your Koordinates site, click Update Existing.

Your layer will now be imported to your Koordinates data service. You will be taken to Manage Data, where you can track the status of your import.

Once your import is complete, the blue bar will be replaced with 'Public' or 'Private,' depending on how you have set your permissions.
