Verifying your email address

Email verification with Koordinates ID enhances your account security and assists site administrators to manage access to their data.

The first time you sign up with a Koordinates ID you will be sent an email to verify your email address. Click the link to verify your email status.

You will be taken to Koordinates ID where your email verification status will be confirmed.

If you change your email address you will be re-sent the email verification email to your new email address.

Email verification is not required by default to use a Koordinates platform site, however email verification is recommended and could be required by the policies of individual site owners.

Manual Email Verification

If your user account is not verified and you have not already recieved a verification link, or the link is expired, you start the email verification process by visiting the Security tab in your Koordinates ID.

Here you can see your Email Verification status. Start the email verificaiton process by clicking "Send email verification".

An email with the verification link will be sent to your current email address. Open your mail client and click the link to complete the verification process.
