Point Cloud
Koordinates supports the import, use and export of three-dimensional Point Clouds.
Point Clouds can be used in topographic maps, elevation models and other three-dimensional based projects.
What is a Point Cloud?

How are Point Cloud created?
Section titled “How are Point Cloud created?”Point Cloud data are generally created by LiDAR scans.
Light Detection and Ranging sensors scan an area and records points using the reflection of the light. Thousands to millions of individual points are collected and combined as a detailed point cloud which can be used as a three-dimensional model of the scanned object or area.
