How to set up a custom site URL

When your company portal is first established, by default the URL will follow this format yourorganisation.koordinates.com.

This URL can be customised to align with company standards. 

Note: Custom site URLs are only available on our Business or Enterprise plans.


1. From your hosting platform, create a custom domain or subdomain name.

Such as data.yourorganisation.com

2. Create a CNAME DNS record for the custom domain to hosted-au.koordinates.com

A CNAME (canonical name) record which will map and redirect the custom domain to the koordinates url.

3. Test and resolve the custom URL

Navigate to the custom URL and check that you are navigated to the Koordinates site. CNAME records can take up to 4-8 hours to resolve.

Note: This error page is expected, and will be addressed in the next step.

4. Once the CNAME redirects, contact Koordinates to request your portal to be connected to your custom domain.

Koordinates support staff may request more information if needed, then complete your request, informing you when your custom domain is active.
